Royal Stewart - Tartan - Brushed Yarn Dyed Cotton
I think I have found the most perfect tartan fabric for dressmaking! This is the Royal Stewart tartan (probably the most well-known tartan on earth!) in a super soft, cosy yet lightweight form. It is yarn-dyed so you can see the tartan plaid pattern on both sides and brushed which gives it the extremely soft touch. One of the most obvious garments for this fabric would be the cosiest traditional-style button up pyjamas but I also think it would make a brilliant festive shirt or dress that you could also wear outside of the festive season.
